§ 31.43 AUTHORIZATION TO CONTRACT WITH PAYMENT PROCESSING COMPANIES.
   (A)   The Clerk-Treasurer is authorized to contract with payment processing companies to receive payment of city obligations and fees, provided they collect any transaction fees from the person utilizing a bank card or credit card to pay a city obligation. This transaction fee is to be an additional charge to the money the Clerk-Treasurer is required to collect.
   (B)   If payment is made by a bank card or credit card, the Clerk-Treasurer shall collect and deposit in the appropriate fund an amount not less than the amount the Clerk-Treasurer would collect and deposit if the Clerk-Treasurer received payments by a means other than a bank card or credit card.
