§ 91.18 PARK INFORMATION.
   (A)   Gazebo Park. Gazebo Park is a small park site located on the northeast corner of Main Street and West Fourth Street, adjacent to the Fire and Police Station. The park is named for being the location of the town gazebo. Brick walkways, historical site lighting and landscape pockets of flowers add the character to the site. It is primarily used as a sitting park and occasionally events. The park contains approximately 0.2 acres.

   (B)   G. Martin Kenney Memorial Park. Kenny Park is a community park containing approximately 40 acres and Ligonier Sports and Recreation Center, and can be considered the center of recreational activity in the community. Basketball, softball, tennis, football/soccer, horseshoes, picnic shelters, walking/jogging trail and playgrounds attract a wide range of people in the community.

   (C)   Northside Park. Northside Park is located on Jay Street just north of Mercer Street and consists of approximately 1.2 acres. It functions as a neighborhood play lot and the facilities consist of a small paved play surface/basketball court, play equipment and an unimproved ball field with a small backstop. These facilities are located towards the northwest portion of the site with the remaining of the land being open space with a few large trees.

   (D)   Prentice Park. This park is located on the northwest corner of West Sixth Street and South Martin Street. It consists of two home lots, approximately 0.6 acres in size. The park contains a rock with a memorial plaque in honor of the site. The center of the park contains a historic fountain with diagonal walks to the perimeter of the park. The fountain is in disrepair and has been used in recent years as a flower planter. A small area with play equipment are the only facilities provided in the park. The arrangement of the large trees may indicate a specific landscape plan was developed. Attempts should be made to discover the actual history of the site and incorporate historical aspects in any future renovations.

   (E)   Woodlawn Park. Woodlawn Park is located on the northwest corner of Lincolnway West and Bridge Street and is the second largest park at 16 acres. The park is ideally located on a gently rolling, wooded site with direct access to the Elkhart River. The park has been developed to accommodate family and group activities with a Scout Cabin, picnic shelters and play equipment. The only open space is used for baseball and volleyball. Adequate parking is a major item which affects the use of the park. A gravel road meanders throughout the site; however, the only parking is on the grassed area along the roadside. There is limited parking areas adjacent to the baseball field.

   (F)   Wood Triangle Park. Wood Triangle Park is the smallest of all the parks and consists entirely of a strip of land between the right-of-way of two intersecting streets: Cavin Street and Lincolnway South. The park has no function for recreation purposes but has a pleasing aesthetic value to the city's entrance. The site has been developed around a historic fountain and street clock with landscaping.

   (G)   Intent to comply with ADA. The Ligonier Parks Department expresses its intent to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
