§ 56.03 REMOVAL FROM STATE UTILITY REGULATORY COMMISSION.
   (A)   The Common Council of the city adopts, pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 8-1.5-3-9.1, an ordinance removing the city waterworks from the jurisdiction of the State Utility Regulatory Commission and the transfer of the regulation and approval of rates and charges and the issuance of stocks, bonds, notes and other evidence of indebtedness to the Common Council of the city.
   (B)   At least 30 days before the final vote upon this chapter, the Clerk-Treasurer of the city shall mail written notice to all current rate payers of the city waterworks and to the State Utility Regulatory Commission of the meeting at which this chapter will be considered for its final reading.
