§ 55.01 ROLE OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY.
   (A)   From and after the passage and the enactment hereof, no private wells for the extraction of subterranean water for use for human consumption shall be installed or constructed by any person, firm or corporation within the boundaries of the city, unless, in the opinion of the Board of Public Works and Safety, it shall be economically impractical or otherwise not feasible for the extension of the city's water lines to the property in question.
   (B)   Any permission by the Board of Public Works and Safety for the installation or construction of a private well is subject to satisfaction of any other federal, state or local statute, ordinance, resolution, regulation or rule as well as to the approval of any federal, state or local governing body or governmental subdivision which shall have jurisdiction over the installation or construction.
