(A) The Town Waterworks has established rates and charges for water use and service rendered by the town. Rates and charges shall be set from time to time by the Town Council, based on the use of water supplied by the Waterworks. Rates and charges are specified on the town’s utilities fee schedule.
(B) Each user shall pay a water availability fee in accordance with the size of meter installed, for which the user will be entitled to the quantity of water set in the metered schedule of rates.
(C) Fire protection sprinklers.
(1) Service under the rate shall consist of standby service for fire emergencies and all water taken through the connections shall be restricted to fire emergencies only.
(2) The Public Works Department reserves the right to install flow detectors from time to time to see that the service is restricted to firefighting purposes.
(D) Fire hydrants. The hydrant rental fee is established in the town’s utilities fee schedule.
(E) Once a utility account is established, the billing will reflect who is responsible for the bill, as well as the meter deposit. If the account is in the name of two separate individuals and one of the individuals chooses to be removed from the account, the meter deposit will go back to the person who paid it, and the person of residence will have to pay a new meter deposit.
