1-10-1: TOWN PURCHASING:
   A.   Purchases Over Thirty Thousand Dollars: All purchase orders or contracts of whatever nature for services, materials, equipment or supplies for Town purposes involving amounts in excess of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) shall be let by free and open competitive bidding, after advertising for bids in the manner provided by law not less than ten (10) days prior to the date set for receiving bids, to the lowest responsible bidder.
   B.   Purchases Under Thirty Thousand Dollars: Except as otherwise provided by direction of the Board of Trustees or state law, the Board of Trustees may let purchase orders or contracts of whatever nature for services, materials, equipment or supplies involving amounts of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) or less, without competitive bidding or the bidder the Board of Trustees determines will best serve the interest of the Town.
   C.   Emergencies: If authorized by the township board, contracts for the purchase of services, materials, equipment or supplies may be let without advertising for bids in the case of an emergency. (Ord. TO-2014-1, 3-11-2014; amd. Ord. TO 2022-12, 8-9-2022)
