3-2-10: SANITATION:
Exterior property and premises shall be maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition, free of any accumulation of rubbish, litter or garbage. The owner and/or occupant shall keep that part of the exterior property that such occupant occupies or controls in a clean and sanitary condition.
   A.   Accumulation of Rubbish or Garbage. Exterior property and premises, and the interior of every structure, shall be free from any accumulation of rubbish or garbage.
   B.   Garbage Storage and Disposal. Every owner and/or occupant of a dwelling unit shall store and dispose of garbage, refuse, and any other matter of any nature which are subject to decay, putrefaction and the generation of noxious or offensive gases or flies or other insects, rodents, or other pests in a clean, sanitary and safe manner, so as not to become a public nuisance. Garbage and refuse shall be properly disposed and kept in an approved container as provided in Chapter 4, “Waste Disposal Regulations” , of Title 3, of the Town Code.
   C.   Containers. The operator of every establishment, producing garbage and rubbish, that is not a “Covered Unit”, as defined in Section 3-4-1 of Chapter 4, Title 3 of the Town Code, shall provide, and at all times cause to be utilized, approved leakproof containers provided with close-fitting covers for the storage of such materials, as provided in Chapter 4, Title 3, until removed from the premises for disposal.
   D.   Refrigerators. Refrigerators and similar equipment (i.e., “White Goods”, as defined in Section 3-4-1 of Chapter 4, Title 3), not in operation shall not be discarded, abandoned or stored on premises without first removing the doors. (TO-2022-1, 2-8-2022)
