3-1-11: WORK PERIOD; DAYS OFF DUTY WITHOUT LOSS OF COMPENSATION:
   (A)   The chief of police may establish the work period for officers and other personnel in the department and may establish a work period other than that provided in state law for determining when an employee must be paid overtime compensation. The total hours in all work periods in a calendar year may not exceed two thousand eighty (2,080).
   (B)   Each officer or other employee of the police force in each calendar year shall be given a minimum of one hundred four (104) days off duty without loss of compensation, not including holidays, sick leave, vacation leave or other types of compensated time off duty. (Ord. 1582, 5-7-1990)
