All appointments to the police force must be appointed by the city manager, and confirmed by the city commission. No such appointment must be made until: (Ord. 1582, 5-7-1990; amd. Ord. 1663, 1-3-2000; Ord. 1664, 1-3-2000)
(A) An application for such position on the police force has been filed with the city manager and referred by him to the police commission.
(B) Such applicant has successfully passed the examination required to be held by the police commission and a certificate from the police commission that the applicant has qualified for such appointment has been filed with the city manager. (Ord. 1582, 5-7-1990; amd. Ord. 1663, 1-3-2000)
