2-5-2: CERTIFICATE; FEE:
Any person who now is or in the future may become engaged in the business of master electrician or contracting electrician or in the work of journeyman electrician, including all electricians working for such master or contracting electricians, in the installation or repair of electrical wiring or equipment in or about buildings in the city is required to have an individual wireman's certificate.
Any such master electrician or contracting electrician must pay the sum of ten dollars ($10.00) as an initial fee for his wireman's certificate which shall be issued for one year and each year thereafter must pay two dollars fifty cents ($2.50) for a renewal of such certificates; a journeyman electrician must pay the sum of two dollars ($2.00) as an initial fee for his wireman's certificate which will be issued for one year and each year thereafter he must pay one dollar ($1.00) for a renewal. In the event that a journeyman electrician leaves the service of any master or contracting electrician to enter service of another master or contracting electrician in the city, he must obtain a new individual fireman's certificate from the board, paying the renewal fee therefor provided herein. Apprentice cards may be issued by the board if signed by a master electrician for the period of one year for the fee of one dollar ($1.00), and thereafter the holder must pay one dollar ($1.00) a year for renewal for wireman's certificate which will then be issued to him.
Individual wireman's certificates will contain the following information: classes of certificate, whether master, journeyman, or apprentice card, signature of individual holding card, signature of master electrician employing holder of card, signature of the secretary of the board, and date of validity of the certificate.
Any outside master or contracting electrician with his principal place of business outside of the city coming into the city for the purpose of doing electrical work, together with all members of his crews who do not reside in the city and who do not hold Lewistown wireman's certificates must take an examination before the board and pay for permits and all journeyman members must be qualified and take out individual wireman's certificates before doing any work within the city, in the same manner as provided for inhabitants of the city.
