6-2-13: DESTRUCTION OF SICK QUARANTINED ANIMALS REQUIRED:
   (A)   Any animal having been quarantined for having bitten a person which becomes sick and, in the opinion of a licensed veterinarian, is suspected of being infected with rabies, shall be destroyed and the animal's head shall be sent to the Montana department of livestock diagnostic laboratory for testing.
   (B)   The city manager is hereby authorized and has the duty, whenever in his opinion the danger to the public safety from rabid animals is made imminent, to issue his proclamation ordering persons owning, keeping or harboring animals to have the same vaccinated within thirty (30) days, and to confine the same by good and sufficient means to his premises during the time specified in such proclamation, and any animal found running at large within the city during the time specified may be taken under the control of the animal control officer.
