5-27-4: MOBILE FOOD VENDOR UNIT:
   (A)   An applicant for a mobile food vendor unit shall be required to obtain or provide proof of the following before commencing business:
      1.   A city business license.
      2.   Yearly health district approval.
      3.   Planning department approval.
      4.   Sidewalk encroachment permit (if applicable).
   (B)   The applicant must provide a site plan showing the proposed location(s) of the unit, along with pedestrian and any motorized traffic ingress/egress points.
   (C)   Unless specifically permitted, the unit shall not be situated on a public sidewalk. A unit shall not be situated on any public way in a manner that interferes with the safety of pedestrian or vehicular traffic. Any unit specifically permitted by the city to be situated on a public sidewalk or on a public way is required to have general liability insurance in the amount of at least five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00), and naming the city as an additional insured.
   (D)   The unit shall be moved at least weekly or as frequently as the on board supply of potable water and wastewater storage allows, or health district rules require, whichever occurs first. Replenishing/removal of water/wastewater shall not be performed on site. Sidewalk vendors requiring a special permit shall comply with all permit conditions. All parking restrictions shall apply.
