The Human Rights Commission shall consist of seven (7) members, all residents of the City of Lewisburg and representative of the several racial, religious and ethnic groups residing in the City. The Mayor of the City of Lewisburg with the approval of the Council of the City shall appoint the members of said Commission. Members shall serve for a term of two years commencing on the first day of July of the year of their appointments, provided, however, that of those first appointed, 3 shall be for 1 year and 4 shall be for 2 years. All subsequent appointments shall be for terms of two years except that appointments to fill vacancies shall be for the unexpired term thereof. Members shall be eligible for reappointment.
