Whenever a subdivision is developed under the Planned Development Overlay Zoning District classification, the Planning Commission may vary the requirements of these regulations in accordance with the Lewisburg Zoning Code in order to allow the subdivider more freedom in the arrangement of streets, lots, and building lines, but at the same time protect the convenience, health, safety and welfare of future residents, as well as the character of the surrounding property and general welfare of the community. In no case, however, shall the proposed design violate other requirements of the Lewisburg Zoning Ordinance or be construed in such a manner as to circumvent the requirements for adequate streets, easements, sidewalks and other essential public improvements.
