(a) A Building Maintenance Board for the City is hereby created. It shall consist of the Mayor, the Building Inspector, and one member at large. The member at large is to be selected by and to serve at the will and pleasure of the Mayor. The ranking health officer of the City, (and in lieu of such officer, the Chief of Police of the City), and the Fire Chief of the City shall serve as ex-officio members of the Board.
(b) The purpose of the Board is to be the enforcement agency as described in West Virginia Code 8-12-16, and to serve as the Code Official's appointed officers to administer the Property Maintenance Code of the City; as per PM-105.8 of the BOCA National Property Maintenance Code. (Passed 12-21-99.)
