There is hereby created a planning commission for the city. Said commission shall consist of seven (7) members with applications to be approved by city council by a majority vote. It is hereby reaffirmed that the mayor, with the consent of at least two (2) other members of the council, is empowered to designate at least one member of the council to attend the meetings of the planning commission as an observer on behalf of the council. Said member shall serve as such observer for such time as such member and at least two (2) other members of the council desire. (Ord. 2016-03, 2-16-2016)
