It is unlawful for any person to allow, permit or cause, any tree to be cut down or felled upon, over or across any street, thoroughfare, sidewalk or alley within the corporate limits of this city without first obtaining permission from the parks department. (1984 Code § 12.16.050; amd. 2015 Code)
