The Division of Public Works shall be under the direction of the Public Works Superintendent who shall be accountable to the Deputy City Manager. The Division shall perform the following functions:
(A) Maintain, repair, construct, improve and extend the public streets and storm sewer systems of the city.
(B) Erect, construct, apply and maintain all street signs and traffic control signs and markings within the public right-of-way.
(C) Provide maintenance or construction service for any department of the city where and as directed, including installation of underground utilities, building construction, and street, curb and gutter, and storm sewers.
(D) Maintain and repair or when authorized, arrange for maintenance and repair of all cars, trucks and motorized equipment owned or controlled by the city.
(E) Maintain accurate and complete records on all motorized equipment owned or controlled by the city.
(F) Maintain all public park and open space, including, but not limited to, mowing, landscaping, playground equipment, recreational facilities, and playing field maintenance.
(G) Maintain and operate all cemeteries under the control of the city.
(H) Maintain accurate records of all cemetery operations.
(I) Provide for necessary services in connection with burials.
(J) Perform such other duties as the Deputy City Manager or the City Manager may direct.
