For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
EXCAVATION. Digging, trenching, excavating, grading, tunnelling or any other work of a similar nature in, on or under any street, but shall not include repair or replacement of sidewalk, curb or gutter.
PERSON. Any person, individual, firm, corporation, partnership, association, company or organization of any kind.
STREET. A way for vehicular traffic, whether designated a street highway, thoroughfare, parkway, road, avenue, boulevard, lane, place or however otherwise designated.
