§ 1328.01 ADDITIONS, INSERTIONS AND CHANGES.
   (A)   Chapter 6, Mechanical and Electrical Requirements, of the 2009 International Property Maintenance Code is adopted in its entirety subject to the following additions, insertions and changes, which shall be incorporated into said Code:
      (1)   602.2 Residential occupancies:
         Residential occupancies: Dwellings shall be provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room temperature of not less than 68°F in all habitable rooms, bathrooms and toilet rooms when the outdoor temperature is minus 50° F. Cooking appliances shall not be used to provide space heating to meet the requirements of this section. Portable heating equipment employing a flame and heating equipment using gasoline or kerosene do not meet the standards of this code and are prohibited.
      (2)   Section 602.3 Heat Supply:
         Heat supply: Every owner and operator of any building who rents, leases or lets one or more dwelling unit, rooming unit, dormitory or guestroom on terms, either expressed or implied, to furnish heat to the occupants thereof shall supply heat to maintain a temperature of not less than 68°F in all habitable rooms, bathrooms, and toilet rooms when the outdoor temperature is minus 50°F. Portable heating equipment employing a flame and heating equipment using gasoline or kerosene do not meet the standards of this code and are prohibited. Exceptions as noted in the 2009 International Property Maintenance Code.
      (3)   Section 602.4 Occupiable work spaces:
         Occupiable work spaces: Indoor occupiable work spaces shall be supplied with heat during the period front September through May to maintain a temperature of not less than 65°F during the period the spaces are occupied. Exceptions as noted in the 2009 International Property Maintenance Code.
      (4)   Section 604.2 Service:
         Service: The size and usage of appliances and equipment shall serve as a basis for determining the need for additional facilities in accordance with the most recent update of the National Electric Code.
