§ 133.083 FUNERAL LEAVE.
   (A)   Any full-time employee may be granted up to three days of paid funeral leave, upon approval of the department head and the City Manager, in the event of a death of an employee's immediate family. For the purpose of this section, IMMEDIATE FAMILY is defined as the spouse, parent, son or daughter, brother or sister, stepchild, stepparent, legal guardian or other person who stands in place of the employee's parent.
   (B)   Funeral leave of one day may be granted when a death occurs to any other relative or friend of an employee upon prior written approval of the department head and the City Manager. Funeral leave shall not be charged to the sick leave balance of the employee.
