§ 36.38  FIRE DEPARTMENT FIRE CODE ENFORCEMENT/INCIDENT MITIGATION FUND.
   (A)   The Clerk-Treasurer shall create a non-reverting account designated City Fire Department Fire Code Enforcement/Incident Mitigation Fund.
   (B)   In addition to funds collected from inspection services, fines, violations, citations, permits and insurance proceeds from incident mitigation as previously authorized, funds may be received related to training programs.
   (C)   Accumulated funds may be dispersed for Fire Department training, equipment, supplies, and for expenses associated with long-term incident mitigation and disasters, and for teaching, hosting or instruction related to various training programs.
   (D)   The Fund may receive and deposit such fees, donations, costs and funds received from any participating agency, organization or individual and the funds shall continue to accumulate from year to year and not revert to the city General Fund.
   (E)   The Fund may be used for expenses relating to hosting or instruction of the training program, including travel expenses as necessary, in addition to the eligible uses denoted in Ord. 2009-02. This includes payment for the instructor of the class, class materials, books, equipment, refreshments, printing costs, any expense or cost reasonably associated with the training or class.
   (F)   The Fund may also be used to establish a “reward” program to offer financial incentives to individuals to provide information relating to the investigation, apprehension and prosecution of arson related crimes.
   (G)   Claims may be made from this Fund only by the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief of the city Fire Department.
