§ 36.37  POLICE PENSION FUND.
   (A)   Established.  There is hereby established and created a Police Pension Fund in and for the city.

   (B)   Board of Trustees.
      (1)   Created.  There is hereby created a Board of Trustees of the Police Pension Fund created by this section.

      (2)   Composition; election.  The Police Pension Fund of the city shall be governed and managed by a Board of Trustees which shall contain seven members, three of whom shall be ex officio and four of whom shall be elected. The three ex officio members of the Board shall be the Mayor, the City Clerk-Treasurer and the Chief of Police. One of the elected members shall be a retired member of the police force of the city and the remaining three members shall be active members of the police force of the city. The retired member and the active members of the Board shall be elected at a meeting of the members of the police force of the city.

      (3)   Powers and duties.  The Board of Trustees of the Police Pension Fund shall be deemed to be fully established and created and shall possess these powers and exercise those rights and duties as are prescribed by the laws of the state relating to police pension funds.
