The numbers of the various houses and buildings within the city on the various streets shall be assigned by the City Civil Engineer and put up under his or her direction and supervision. In the absence of a city civil engineer, the numbering of street addresses shall be administered by the Planning and Zoning Administration Department of the city, in consultation with the GIS and Public Safety Departments of the city and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
