§ 74.17  SKATEBOARDING, ROLLER BLADING (IN-LINE SKATING) AND ROLLER SKATING ON SIDEWALKS.
   (A)   No person shall roller skate, roller blade (in-line skate) or ride a skateboard on any city sidewalk in commercial zoning districts, although riding skateboards on sidewalks shall be permitted in residential districts in the following areas of the city:
      (1)   Central Business Downtown (CB);
      (2)   Neighborhood Business (NB);
      (3)   Planned Business Commercial (PBC);
      (4)   Planned Business Office (PBO);
      (5)   Planned Business Industrial (PBI);
      (6)   Industrial District (ID); and
      (7)   Institutional (IN).
   (B)   Persons may roller skate, roller blade (in-line skate) or ride a skateboard on sidewalks in the following areas of the city:
      (1)   Open Space (OS);
      (2)   Single-Family (SF);
      (3)   Single Family (SF-1, 2, 3);
      (4)   Multi Family (MF);
      (5)   Traditional Housing (TR); and
      (6)   Manufactured Home (MH).
   (C)   Persons who roller skate, roller blade (in-line skate) or ride a skateboard on sidewalks where permitted must at all times exercise due care for the safety of other persons using the sidewalks.
   (D)   Persons who roller skate, roller blade (in-line skate) or ride a skateboard on sidewalk where permitted must at all times yield the right of way to pedestrians and give pedestrians audible warnings before overtaking and passing them.
