§ 150.45 SMOKE DETECTION DEVICES.
   (A)   Adoption of the Smoke Detection Devices Law. The Common Council of the City of Lawrenceburg hereby adopts I.C. 22-11-18, which establishes the law for smoke detection devices, including powers of local inspectors concerning such devices.
   (B)   Appointment of department to administer ordinance. The Board of Works is appointed to administer these provisions as adopted by the Common Council, coinciding with the State Fire Marshal if applicable.
   (C)   Construction. Any reference to a state statute shall mean the statute as amended from time to time, or any similar statutory provision that may supercede it relating to the same or similar subject matter.
   (D)   Penalty for violation. Violations of this section shall be addressed as established in said Indiana Code and as it may be amended from time to time, as well as the penalty provisions in § 150.99 of the Lawrenceburg Code of Ordinances.
   (E)   Severability. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, or any other portion of this section be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid for any reason, the remaining provisions shall be affected, if and only if such remaining provisions can, without the invalid provision or provisions, be given the effect intended by the council in adopting this section. To this end the provisions of this section are severable.
