§ 5-2-4-7. SOLID WASTE TRANSPORT VEHICLE; PERMIT REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to transport to any solid waste disposal facility located within the City of Lawrence more than 50 cubic yards of solid waste within any 30-day period without first obtaining a solid waste transport vehicle permit from the City Controller. Issuance of the permits is subject to the approval of the Board of Public Works and Safety.
   (B)   Qualification of applicants for these permits shall be based on the considerations contained in § 5-2-4-4. In addition, to be qualified, all the vehicles must be completely enclosed so as to prevent spillage or scattering of solid waste onto public roads.
   (C)   All the vehicles must be inspected for safety by the Lawrence Police Department prior to application for the permit in order to ensure compliance with the provisions of this chapter as well as all other state and local regulations pertaining to the vehicles. The vehicles shall also be subject to additional inspections at any reasonable time as long as the vehicle remains properly licensed by the City.
