§ 3-3-8-12. LICENSING OF ALARM MONITOR.
   (A)   Any alarm monitor which services alarm systems within the City of Lawrence, as a condition of engaging in the business and providing the service, shall obtain annually an alarm monitor permit from the Alarm Administrator. The fee for the annual permit shall be $100.
   (B)   Any person who violates this section shall be subject to a $250 fine.
   (C)   An alarm monitor permit application shall be made in writing to the Alarm Administrator on a form designated by the Alarm Administrator for that purpose. The application shall include the following information:
      (1)   The name, mailing address, physical location or locations and telephone number of the alarm monitor; and
      (2)   A description of the process and system or systems which the alarm monitor will use to receive the signal, notice, communication or warning from an alarm system and the procedures and communication which will be used by the alarm monitor after receiving the signal, notice, communication or warning.
   (D)   An alarm monitor servicing alarm systems within the City of Lawrence at the time this section becomes effective shall have 30 days to apply for a license as required above.
   (E)   No alarm monitor may be licensed if the proprietor, any general or limited partner, shareholder, director or officer has been convicted of a felony under the laws of the State of Indiana, the United States of America or any other state or nation.
