§ 72.08 EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT-OF-WAY RULE.
   (A)   The driver of a vehicle entering a public street or highway from a private road or drive shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching such public street or highway.
   (B)   The driver of a vehicle upon a street or highway shall yield the right-of-way to police and other emergency vehicles when the latter are operated upon official business and the drivers thereof sound audible signal by bell, siren or exhaust whistle. This provision shall not operate to relieve the driver of such emergency vehicle from the duty to drive with due regard for the safety of all persons using the street or highway, nor shall it protect the driver of any such vehicle from the consequence of any arbitrary exercise of such right-of-way.
