(A) Any mobile food vendor remaining stationary on public or private property for in excess of 15 minutes shall be required to file an application for a license with the City Clerk on a form to be provided by the city and to pay a mobile food vendor registration fee in the amount of $600 per fiscal year with it being specifically provided that the fees in regard to the first fiscal year ending April 30, 2020 shall be prorated on a monthly basis.
(B) Additionally, consistent with the provisions of other ordinances of the city in regard to the operation of business as a mobile food vendor, in addition to the licensing requirement, a mobile food vendor shall be required to have obtained a permit issued by the city on a form to be prescribed by the city regarding each specific date and location of operation within the city, which permit is to be obtained pursuant to the provisions provided within this subchapter and other ordinances of the city based upon the joint approval of the Economic Development Director and the Mayor; further, in the event that said parties are not able to agree, and/or in the event that the Mayor and Director of Economic Development deem it within the appropriate exercise of discretion to be a matter that should be considered by the City Council, then the permit application shall be considered by the City Council as a whole.
(C) Additionally, mobile food vendors are exempt from the requirement to obtain a city license and to further obtain a permit in regard to the operation within the city at a City of LaSalle sponsored special event and/or at a LaSalle Business Association sponsored special event. In regard to any such special events, the only license/registration and fee that shall be required shall be in regard to the specific license/registration and permit fee required in respect to the specific event.
