§ 31.125  MEMBERSHIP; UNIT ORGANIZATION.
   (A)   The Fire Department shall consist of the Chief of the Fire Department and volunteer members. There shall be a minimum number of 20 members and a maximum of 30 members. Members of the Fire Department shall have the ranks as may be authorized by vote of the membership of the Fire Department excepting the Fire Chief. The membership of the Fire Department shall submit to the Board of Alderpersons, annually, the names of three members of its choice. From these names, the Board of Alderpersons shall select one person. This person shall be Fire Chief for one year or until replaced by action of the Fire Department or Board of Alderpersons.

   (B)   The Fire Department shall have the number and type of fire companies and other units as may be established by the Chief of the Fire Department, subject to approval by the Board of Alderpersons. The chief of the Fire Department shall prescribe the order in which units shall respond to alarms.
