§ 31.095  ESTABLISHMENT; JURISDICTION.
   (A)   There is hereby established a board to be known as the Town Planning Board, whose jurisdiction shall include the area within the corporate limits of the town, plus the extraterritorial area described in division (B)(2) below, subject to the direction of the Board of Alderpersons.

   (B)   (1)   Pursuant to G.S. § 160A-360, the extraterritorial planning jurisdiction of the town shall be as shown on the map entitled “Extraterritorial Planning Jurisdiction of the Town of Landis, North Carolina”, which is hereby adopted and made a part of this division and which shall be retained in the office of the Town Administrator/Town Clerk.
      (2)   The boundaries of the extraterritorial planning jurisdiction of the town are described as follows:
      Beginning at a point, the point being located in the northeastern corner of the right-of-way for the intersection of Airport Road and Highland Avenue, the point being a point located on the corporate limits for the town and the corporate limits of the City of Kannapolis; thence, north following the southern side of the street right-of-way for Highland Avenue for a distance of approximately 175 feet; thence, northwest following the corporate limits of the town for a distance of approximately 435 feet; thence, west following the corporate limits for the town for a distance of approximately 558 feet; thence, south southwest following the corporate limits of the town for a distance of approximately 864 feet; thence, west northwest following the corporate limits of the town and the City of Kannapolis for a distance of approximately 3,210 feet; thence, six points following the corporate limits of the City of Kannapolis, which are as follows: (1) northeast for a distance of approximately 1,203 feet; (2) north for a distance of approximately 984 feet; (3) west for a distance of approximately 1,060 feet; (4) north for a distance of approximately 855 feet; (5) east for a distance of approximately 530 feet; (6) north for a distance of approximately 541 feet; thence, northwest following a common property line for a distance of approximately 555 feet; thence, north northeast following a common property line for a distance of approximately 1,000 feet; thence, east southeast following a common property line for a distance of approximately 477 feet; thence, north following a common property line for a distance of approximately 900 feet; thence, west northwest following a common property line for a distance of approximately 67 feet; thence, northeast following a common property line for a distance of approximately 167 feet; thence, northwest following a common property line for a distance of approximately 190 feet to a point located centerway of Cannon Farm Road; thence, east northeast following the centerway of Cannon Farm Road for a distance of approximately 200 feet; thence, north following a common property line for a distance of approximately 3,610 feet to a point centerway of Mooreville Highway (N.C. Highway 29-A for a distance of approximately 260 feet to a point of the intersection of Eudy Road on the east side of U.S. Highway 29-A and U.S. Highway 29-A; thence, southeast following the centerway of Eudy Road for a distance of 1,560 feet to a point located centerway of the intersection of Eudy Road and Chapel Street; thence, east-southeast following the center-way of Chapel Street for a distance of approximately 400 feet to a point located in the centerway of the intersection of Chapel Street and Bostian Road; thence, south-southeast following the centerway of Bostian Road for a distance of approximately 1,960 feet; thence, east following a common property line and crossing U.S. Highway 29-601 for a distance of approximately 790 feet; thence, south-southeast over open land for a distance of approximately 920 feet to a common property corner; thence, south-southeast following a common property line for a distance of approximately 790 feet; thence, south following a common property line for a distance of approximately 700 feet; thence, south-southwest following a common property line and crossing Daugherty Road for a distance of approximately 780 feet; thence, east following a common property line for a distance of approximately 250 feet; thence, south-southwest following a common property line for a distance of approximately 1,210 feet; thence, southeast following a common property line for a distance of approximately 290 feet; thence, southwest following a common property line for a distance of approximately 170 feet; thence, south following a common property line for a distance of approximately 350 feet; thence, west following a common property line for a distance of approximately 1,040 feet to a point centerway of Bostian Road; thence, south following the centerway of Bostian Road for a distance of approximately 1,020 feet to a point located centerway of the intersection of Bostian Road and Beatty Ford Road; thence, west following the centerway of Beatty Ford Road for a distance of approximately 780 feet; thence, south following a common property line for a distance of approximately 620 feet; thence, west following a common property line for a distance of approximately 850 feet; thence, west following a common property line for a distance of approximately 780 feet; thence, south following a common property line for a distance of approximately 1,320 feet; thence, west following a common property line for a distance of approximately 3,480 feet to a point on the corporate limits of the City of Kannapolis and continuing over open land for a distance of approximately 1,400 feet to a common property corner; thence, west following a common property line for a distance of approximately 1,430 feet crossing U.S. Highway 29-601 to a point centerway of South Chapel Street Extension; thence, north following the centerway of North Chapel Street Extension for a distance of approximately 930 feet; thence, west following a common property line for a distance of approximately 1,050 feet to a point in the center of the Norfolk-Southern railroad track; thence, north following the centerway of the Norfolk-Southern railroad track for a distance of approximately 520 feet; thence, west following a common property line for a distance of approximately 930 feet and continuing on the corporate limits of the City of Kannapolis, crossing U.S. Highway 29-A to a point on the corporate limits of the town; thence, south following a common property line and the corporate limits of the town and the City of Kannapolis for a distance of approximately 30 feet; thence, west following a common property line and the corporate limits of the town and City of Kannapolis for a distance of approximately 120 feet; thence, south following a common property line for a distance of approximately 120 feet to a point on the north side of the right-of-way of Airport Road; thence, southwest following the north side of the right-of-way of Airport Road for a distance of approximately 250 feet to a point located in the northeastern corner of the intersection of Airport Road and Highland Avenue, to a point of beginning.
