§ 31.015 DUTIES.

In case of the death, absence, resignation or permanent disability of the Mayor, the Mayor Pro Tem shall act as Mayor. He or she shall have all the rights and powers and perform all the duties of the Mayor. He or she shall receive the same salary allowed the Mayor until the Board of Alderpersons call an election and a successor has been elected and qualified.
