(A) All permits required or authorized by the Fire Prevention Code shall be issued by the Rowan County Fire Marshall’s office. Each permit shall be valid for the period of time specified therein, not to exceed one year, and may be made subject to renewal; provided that, where an annual license is required by the town in addition to a permit required by the Fire Prevention Code, a permit may be issued for an indefinite period.
(B) The Rowan County Fire Marshall’s office, in consultation with the Rowan County Board of Commissioners, may promulgate a schedule of fees for the issuance of permits and making of inspections required or authorized by the Fire Prevention Code, and the schedule, when approved by the Board of Alderpersons and placed on file in the office of the Town Administrator/Town Clerk, shall govern the fees to be charged by the town for the permits and inspections to which they are thereby made applicable.
