(A) When the use of any driveway approach is changed, making any portion or all of any driveway approach unnecessary in the opinion of the Director of Public Works, the owner of the abutting property shall, at his or her own expense, replace all necessary curbs, gutters and sidewalks within 60 days after
written notice from the Director of Public Works.

(B) (1) When any driveway entrance is constructed or reconstructed, any existing four-inch sidewalk shall be replaced with portland cement concrete of a thickness of not less than six inches where the driveway crosses the sidewalk.
(2) Where an existing driveway crosses an existing paved sidewalk of less than six inches in thickness and when the same becomes broken or otherwise dangerous, the sidewalk shall then be removed and reconstructed for the entire width of the driveway using portland cement concrete not less than six inches thick. The newly-constructed section of sidewalk shall be at an elevation or grade approved by the Director of Public Works or his or her authorized representative.
