§ 90.095  PROCEDURE FOR CARE.
   When the owner of an injured, sick or diseased animal can be located, it will be his or her responsibility to provide veterinary care for the animal. In the event the owner cannot be located, the injured, sick or diseased animal will be taken to the animal shelter and held for 12 hours, if it is not severly injured, sick, diseased or incapable of nourishment. After the 12 hours, the animal may be adopted with the agreement that the person adopting the animal will bear the cost of veterinary care. If the animal is severly injured, sick, diseased or totally incapable of nourishment, the animal may be euthanized in the field or at the shelter at the discretion of the Animal Control Officer.
