There is hereby adopted by reference, except as provided in this Chapter, that certain Electrical Code known and designated as the Los Angeles County Electrical Code, Title 27 of the Los Angeles County Code, including all appendices, as adopted by the County of Los Angeles and in effect on January 1, 2023, incorporating the 2022 California Electrical Code, including all changes made by the County of Los Angeles, and such code shall be and become the Electrical Code of the City, regulating the installation, arrangement, alteration, repair, use and operation of electrical wiring, connections, fixtures and other appliances on premises within the City; the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefor, and fees to pay the costs of checking plans, inspecting the work and making record plans of the installation permitted hereunder.
