Prior to enforcement of this chapter, any person who is observed violating any of the rules and regulations applicable to city-owned facilities, recreation and athletic facilities, and adjoining open space areas, as adopted by the city council, shall be verbally or in writing advised thereof by an officer or employee of the city, or law enforcement officer, and such person shall immediately cease and desist activities constituting the violation, or such person shall leave the premises. In the event such person does not thereafter immediately discontinue the activities constituting the violation, or leave the area, such person shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and may be punished as provided for in this code.
