As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the definitions ascribed to them as follows:
"Criminal activities" as used herein shall refer to any activity punishable as a misdemeanor or felony as defined by local, state or federal laws, including, but not limited to, the offenses set forth in California Penal Code Section 186.22(e).
"Criminal street gang" as used herein shall have the meaning as set forth in California Penal Code Section 186.22(f) and shall further include any ongoing organization, association or group of three or more persons, whether formal or informal, having as one of its primary activities the commission of one or more criminal acts, as specified in California Penal Code Section 186.22(e), having a common name or common identifying sign or symbol, and whose members individually or collectively engage in or have engaged in a pattern of criminal gang activity.
