Unless otherwise approved by the city council, collection of solid waste and recyclables shall take place no less than once each calendar week, on the same day of the week. The authorized collector shall collect all solid waste and recyclables placed for collection in compliance with this chapter from each residential premises in accordance with a schedule which has been approved by the city manager. The schedule shall identify the routes and days of pick up for each collection district established within the city.
