For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply;
(a) "Compensation" means any commission, fee, gratuity, profit, reward, or any other form of consideration or thing of value.
(b) "Finance director" means the finance director of the city of La Mirada, or any designee thereof.
(c) "Outcall dancer" means any person who as an agent, employee, or independent contractor, for any form of compensation, dances or models or offers to dance or model, in or upon any place or premises in the city of La Mirada not open to the general public including, but not limited to, any private residence within the city.
(d) "Outcall dance service" means any business, agency or self-employed or independent person, regardless of business office location, that furnishes or offers to furnish any outcall dancer(s) for any form of compensation.
(e) "Person" means any natural person, firm, partnership, business entity, corporation or association.
