This chapter shall apply to all commercial buildings. For the purposes of this chapter "commercial" shall mean each building which is to be occupied and utilized for nonresidential purposes. A certificate of occupancy shall be required prior to occupancy and each subsequent different occupancy. A separate certificate of occupancy shall be required prior to each successive occupancy.
