1-17-1: PURPOSE; EFFECTIVE DATE:
The Illinois general assembly enacted public act 99-0604, the "local government travel expense control act" ("the act"), the provisions of which are applicable to all units of local government, including municipalities. The purpose of this chapter is to establish a village policy and regulations which are consistent with the act relative to the approval of and reimbursement for expenses incurred relative to travel on official village business, which expenses shall include, but not be limited to, travel, meal, and lodging expenses incurred by, or which are proposed to be incurred by, members of the corporate authorities of the village and all village officers and employees.
