§ 70.12  PARKING PROHIBITED ON FARM TO MARKET HIGHWAY 1886.
   (A)   It is illegal for any person to park any automobile, bus, truck, motorcycle, motor home, camper, trailer, boat or any other type of vehicle on or along the improved an unimproved portions of the public right-of-way for Farm to Market Highway 1886 as it runs through the town limits.  The RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FARM TO MARKET HIGHWAY 1886 is hereby defined as being 50 feet on either side of the center of Farm to Market Highway 1886.
   (B)   Signs shall be installed to inform the traveling public of the fact that no parking at any time shall be allowed along the right-of-way.
   (C)   It is provided, however, that this prohibition shall not apply to the driver of any vehicle that becomes disabled to such an extent that it is impossible to avoid stopping and temporarily leaving the disabled vehicle as far as possible off the paved portion of the highway.  It is further provided, however, that a disabled vehicle must be removed from the highway right-of-way within 48 hours after it has been parked and left.
   (D)   In a prosecution for an offense involving the stopping, standing, or parking of an unattended motor vehicle, it shall be presumed that the registered owner of the vehicle is the person who stopped, stood, or parked the vehicle at the time and place the offense occurred.  The registered owner of the vehicle may rebut this presumption by showing that he or she did not stop, stand or park the vehicle, and by identifying the party who did so.
