Members of the Park and Recreation Commission shall be subject to removal from office and may be removed from office by the City Council in the interest of the public service for any cause deemed sufficient by the City Council, but only after a public hearing before the City Council or charges publicly made, if demanded by the member within ten days after written notice. Any vacancy in the membership of the Commission shall be filled by the City Council, giving consideration to recommendations submitted by the remaining members.
