§ 31.026  SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES.
   (A)   The Water Commissioner shall be responsible for determining overall policies, regulations, and programs concerning acquisition, improvement, maintenance, and operation of the municipal water and sanitation system of the Town of Lakeside.
   (B)   Without limiting the scope of the activities, the Water Commissioner shall:
      (1)   In cooperation with city staff, make plans for the future development of Lakeside so that an adequate supply of water and sanitation facilities are available to the town citizens, and make presentations of same from time to time to the City Council;
      (2)   Participate in various non-town boards and commissions that address themselves to the development of regional, municipal, and county water and sanitation plans;
      (3)   In cooperation with city staff, assist in the preparation of applications to any source for grants and other financial assistance that may be available for use in obtaining water or sanitation facilities, supplies of water, and equipment, services or supplies for improving or maintaining the public water and sanitation facilities;
      (4)   In cooperation with city staff, assist in the preparation and presentation of proposed budgets and water and sanitation charges each fiscal year for all city programs involving the water and sanitation system of the Town of Lakeside; and
      (5)   Perform any other duties as may be requested from time to time by the Mayor and City Council.
