Section 6. INTERIM.

   The Council, on the recommendation of the Village Manager, shall have authority to make any necessary interim budget required to defray the cost of government from April 1, 1967 to June 30, 1967, in order to bring the village's financial plan into conformity with the fiscal year herein provided.

Section 7. NUMBER OF TRUSTEES DURING INTERIM.

   It is intended that no change in the current number of trustees shall be effected, except through the course of the regular village elections for the years of 1968 and 1969. Until the regular village election for the year of 1968, there will be the present number of trustees and in addition thereto the president. At the regular village election for the year 1968, and at each election thereafter, four councilmen will be elected in accordance with the provisions of this Charter. At the regular village election for the year of 1968, and thereafter the council will consist of seven councilmen out of which number the president shall be elected according to the provisions of this Charter.

Section 8. EFFECTIVE DATE.

   The effective date of this Charter shall be on the 31st day of March, 1967, at 12:00 noon.

Section 9. STATUS OF SCHEDULE CHAPTER.

   The purpose of this schedule chapter is to inaugurate the government of the Village of Lake Orion under this Charter and shall constitute a part of this Charter only to the extent and for the time required to accomplish that end.
