(A) The maximum speed limit within the municipal boundaries of the city shall be 30 miles per hour, except that the City Commission has set a maximum speed of 20 or 25 miles per hour in certain residential districts or speed zones, by resolution, on local streets and highways, after an investigation was performed to determine that such a limit was reasonable. In accordance with the procedures prescribed by state law, the Commission may reduce the speed limit in the future for other residential districts or speed zones.
(B) All speed zones shall be posted with clearly visible and legible signs and no change in speeds from the 30 mile per hour speed limit established by the Florida Statutes shall take effect until the zone is posted changing the speed pursuant to division (A) above.
