§ 70.04 REGULATION OF SALE OF MOTOR VEHICLES, TRAILERS, BOATS, AND EQUIPMENT.
   (A)   Private homeowners may offer for sale one motor vehicle, trailer, boat, or equipment, from their property with a "for sale" sign on it, for a period of no more than 14 calendar days, one time every six months upon first obtaining a permit from the Finance Department for each item and the payment of a permit fee. The fee for said permit shall be as established in § 150.05.
   (B)   Private homeowners may offer for sale one motor vehicle, trailer, boat, or equipment at any given time through the newspaper, sales magazines, or other method of written or verbal advertising so long as no "for sale" signs exist on the item for sale or on the lot or parcel where the item is located within the city.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful to offer for sale any motor vehicle, trailer, or boat at any time on the rights-of-way bordering the city streets and roads or on any public property.
   (D)   Except as specifically provided hereinabove, no motor vehicle, trailer, or boat may be offered for sale by the display of any sign or writing on such vehicle, trailer, or boat or within 100 feet thereof, anywhere within the city limits unless the same be located upon lands specifically zoned for the sale of such items.
