§ 31.091 BOND.
   (A)   In connection with the duties of his or her office, the City Treasurer shall be given a bond, in a sum and form to be fixed by the City Council, with one or more sureties, to be approved by the City Council.
   (B)   The city shall pay the cost of any bond required of said officer by the statutes of the state or the ordinances of the city.
